Description
GLENFIDDICH 15 Year Solera Coffret + 2 Glasses. This Speyside single malt has a lightly peated nose and offers beautiful roasted notes reminiscent of roasted cocoa. On the palate, there are plenty of fruity notes, including pear, as well as spicy and pastry notes like vanilla and salted caramel.
This Glenfiddich has been aged in three different types of casks: Sherry, Bourbon, and new oak. It was then blended in a Solera Vat (a very large wooden barrel with a capacity of several thousand liters) to harmonize the three aging processes. These wooden tanks are called Solera VATs because they have not been completely emptied since 1998, with over half of their content remaining, so there is always some whisky from previous filling. The age statement of 15 years represents the age of the youngest whisky in this Single Malt blend
