It goes without saying that an Armagnac Hors d'Age is the Jewels of this appellation. 10 years old is the minimum legal age of the youngest eau-de-vie used in the assembly of an Armagnac Hors Age, but it is common for the average age of these Armagnacs to be higher.
To taste an Armagnac Hors d'Âge is to enter a world made of candied fruit aromas (apricot, candied orange, prune), woody aromas, pastry and spicy aromas. In the mouth, balance and length reign supreme and the heat of the alcohol has given way to notes of rancio and dried fruits.
