This Champagne since it contains between 33 gr and 50 gr of residual sugar per liter. It is a type of champagne rather tasted as an accompaniment to a dessert. Some houses use the Champagne Rich terminology. Historically, this type of semi-dry champagne was appreciated at the court of the Tsar of Russia before the 1917 revolution. This is why the notion of "Russian Taste" is associated with semi-dry champagne.
