Auxey Duresses: an appellation to discover !!

Auxey-Duresses has been a Village appellation of the Côte de Beaune in Burgundy since 1937. Auxey-Duresses covers 115 hectares, is located southwest of Beaune, west of Meursault which adjoins it and south of Monthélie. The reds of Auxey Duresse, 100% Pinot Noir offer a light red color, are fruity, structured and powerful, the tannic structure very present on the youth gives way to a velvety mouth and animal notes of musk and undergrowth in the after 7 to 10 years. The whites are lively and endowed with a lingering brioche flavor. There are 9 climats classified 1er Crus in Auxey-Duresse. The demarcation between the whites and the reds in Auxey Duresse is very clear, following Volnay and Monthélie, the whites in the direction of Meursault and Puligny Montrachet.
