Dalmore Highlands
Blend Whyte and Mackay owner of Dalmore Whiskeys
The Dalmore Distillery is located on the "Black Isle", the "Black Island" in the north of the Highlands (in fact it is only a peninsula). Dalmore now belongs to the Whyte and Mackay blend brand. However, the deer head decorating each bottle of Dalmore refers to the coat of arms of Clan Mackenzie, the first owner of the distillery. Dalmore may be using the oldest still in all of Scotland, dating back to 1874.
Whiskey Dalmore a particular aging
Dalmore has not succumbed to the temptation of aging in bourbon casks at all and continues to consecrate some of his whiskeys in sherry casks or other fine fine wines to the delight of cigar aficionados.
