Do you know the wines of the Jura ?

The Jura vineyard is located in the departments of Jura and Franche Comté, about 70 km long and 6 to 8 km wide. The Juraçien vineyard covers approximately 2000 hectares, it is one of the smallest vineyards in France. This being the case, it is not the least interesting because it is the stronghold of the Savagnin grape variety which is the basis of this great wine that is Vin Jaune, including Château-Chalon sold in 62 cl bottles of Clavelin. The Savagnin associated with Chardonnay gives the essence of the white Côtes du Jura. The red wines are made from the Poulsard and Trousseau grape varieties as well as Pinot Noir. The continental climate that prevails in this region gives surprising reds that are quite ripe and marked by notes of black fruits including peppered blackcurrant.

Arbois wine is one of the appellation of Jura wines
