Arran Amarone Cask Finish. The Isle of Arran distillery started cask finishing very early on.
Let us remember Burgundy, Cognac, Calvados, Sauternes woods finishes from the early 2000s. Euan Mitchell, his young manager, offers us three new ones. One matured in Porto casks, another in Sauternes barrels and this maturing in barrels that contained Amarone, a rare dry red wine made from raisined grapes of the Valpolicella appellation. Whether it is the chromatic, aromatic or taste palette, each of them is of rare elegance. In this unpeated whiskey, you will love its elegant nose, its delicate mouth and its super balanced finish.
