Hennessy Cognac
Cognac Hennessy is the house which issued the mentions of aging
Very superior Old pale (VSOP), Extra old (XO).
The Hennessy house was created in 1765 by Mr Henessy an Irish officer in the service of King Louis XV. Hennessy remained in the hands of the family for eight generations, then joined forces with Moet champagne to create the Moet Hennessy company which subsequently transformed into LVMH (Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy) following the acquisition of Louis Vuitton by Bernard Arnaud in 1987. The Hennessy brand is distributed in more than 130 countries and represents cognac throughout the world. Just like the Moët brand for champagne, the Hennessy brand pulls up the brand image of Cognac in the world and contributes to creating major trends in consumption. Although resolutely turned towards modernity, this great house leans on its past, cognac from 1800 still sleeping in its cellars, the Sarrazine cooperage, always reproduces the same ancestral gestures to build or repair the barrels used to age wines. eaux-de-vie distilled at the Peu distillery owned by Hennessy.
The entire manufacturing process of a great cognac is mastered by Hennessy
