Description
The name of this batch #7 of ABERLOUR A'BUNADH ALBA refers to two things. Firstly, to Quercus Alba, an American white oak from which the barrels used for aging this Aberlour Single Malt were made. Secondly, it alludes to the name of Scotland in Scottish Gaelic. "Alba" in Latin means white, like the very light color of American white oak tree bark.
The nose of this beautiful Speyside single malt whisky from Aberlour evokes fruits such as peaches, apricots, and citrus, as well as honey and vanilla. The palate opens with notes of citrus zest, including lemon and grapefruit, followed by pastry notes of shortbread and baked apples. The finish is long, with the characteristic almond notes often found in white oak aging.
