The vineyard of the Rhone Valley is one of the largest in France both in diversity and scope (6 departments) or quality. It covers 1317 communes, covers 6 departments and extends from the city of Vienna to the north to the city of Arles to the south. The Rhône Valley is divided into two parts. The Northern Rhone Valley in the North runs from Vienne in the north to Valence in the south (Côte-Rôtie, Condrieu, Saint-Joseph and Crozes-Hermlitage ...) and the Southern Rhone valley which stretches from Montélimar in the North to Avignon in the South or even Arles with Costières de Nîmes (Chateauneuf du Pape, Gigondas, Vacqueyras, Beaumes de Venise, Rasteau, Tavel ...).

The king of the Northern Rhone Valley is the Syrah for the reds which gives fine and powerful wines. The whites will be made from Marsanne, Roussanne and Viognier. The Southern Rhone Valley offers heavier wines, a greater number of grape varieties is used because the soils are very varied. The major grape varieties in red are Grenache Noir, Syrah and Mourvèdre, and for whites, the major grape varieties are Viognier, Marsanne, Clairette, Bourboulenc and Grenache Blanc.

Rhône Valley Wine, Hermitage, Côte du Rhône, Châteauneuf du Pape, Gigondas, Vacqueyras, Côte Rôtie, Condrieu, with Big names like Guigal, Chapoutier, Jaboulet, Ferraton ...
