Château Vessière Costières de Nîmes Rosé – Organic Winemaking in the Southern Rhône Valley

Château Vessière Organic Rosé 2024 is a fresh and expressive dry rosé produced in the Costières de Nîmes AOP, in the southern Rhône Valley of France.

Located just south of Nîmes, near the Camargue, Château Vessière is a family-owned estate whose winemaking history extends across seven generations.

Today, Vincent and Lucie Teulon continue this heritage, combining traditional knowledge with environmentally responsible vineyard practices.

The estate is farmed organically and has also developed a biodynamic approach, supported by Demeter.

The vineyards benefit from a distinctive Mediterranean environment, where warm sunshine, regional winds and Rhône-derived soils contribute to the character of the wines.

The Costières de Nîmes terroir is particularly associated with rounded river pebbles, deposited over time by ancient watercourses.

These well-draining soils help the vines develop grapes with good ripeness while preserving the balance needed for fresh, aromatic wines.

Château Vessière Rosé is made primarily from Grenache and Syrah, two traditional southern Rhône grape varieties.

Grenache contributes generous fruit flavours and a supple texture, while Syrah adds aromatic intensity and red berry notes.

The wine is produced using direct pressing, with careful selection of the juice to preserve delicacy and freshness.

Fermentation in stainless steel tanks helps maintain its bright fruit character.

In the glass, this rosé displays a clear pink colour with attractive raspberry reflections.

The nose reveals aromas of fresh raspberries, apricots and citrus fruit, complemented by subtle almond nuances.

On the palate, the wine is lively and delicate, offering flavours of blackcurrant, raspberry and juicy red berries.

A supple texture and refreshing finish make it particularly enjoyable with food.

Serve chilled, ideally between 8 and 10°C.

Its aromatic freshness makes it an excellent match for Mediterranean cuisine, grilled seafood, poultry, summer salads and charcuterie.

It also works beautifully alongside grilled vegetables and lightly seasoned dishes.
