Château La Voulte-Gasparets Corbières Blanc is a dry white wine produced in Boutenac, in the Corbières appellation of southern France. The estate is managed by the Reverdy family, whose winemaking history is closely connected to this Mediterranean vineyard.
The 2023 vintage listed by Calais Vins is a blend of 70% Rolle, 20% Grenache and 10% Macabeu. Rolle, also known as Vermentino, is the dominant grape variety and contributes floral aromas and citrus freshness. Grenache adds body, while Macabeu helps complete the blend.
The grapes are grown on stony, clay-limestone hillsides. They are harvested by hand before direct pressing and fermentation at low temperature. The wine is aged in tanks to preserve its fresh fruit and floral character.
In the glass, this Corbières Blanc displays a bright yellow colour. The nose offers white flowers, citrus and delicate white-fruit aromas. The palate combines a rounded texture with lively freshness, followed by a citrus-driven finish.
Best served at approximately 10°C, it pairs with grilled fish, scallops, Mediterranean seafood and selected cheeses. Its balance of body and freshness also makes it suitable for poultry dishes prepared with lemon or aromatic herbs.
This wine illustrates the diversity of the Corbières appellation, where Mediterranean white grape varieties can produce expressive wines combining aromatic richness with freshness.

Located in Boutenac, in the Aude department of southern France, Château La Voulte-Gasparets is a family-owned wine estate associated with the Reverdy family. The property is particularly recognised for its red wines, but its Corbières Blanc demonstrates the potential of Mediterranean white grape varieties grown on the region's stony hillsides.
The 2023 vintage offered by Calais Vins combines 70% Rolle, 20% Grenache and 10% Macabeu. Rolle, also known as Vermentino, forms the aromatic foundation of the wine. This Mediterranean grape variety is associated with floral notes, citrus aromas and freshness. Grenache contributes volume on the palate, while Macabeu completes the blend.
The vineyards are situated on stony clay-limestone slopes in the Boutenac area. The Mediterranean climate provides abundant sunshine, while regional winds, including the Cers, influence growing conditions. These factors contribute to grape ripening and the distinctive character of the local vineyards.
Harvesting is carried out by hand. The white grapes are directly pressed, and the juice undergoes fermentation at low temperature. This method helps retain delicate aromas and freshness. The wine is subsequently matured in tanks rather than oak barrels, allowing its fruit and floral characteristics to remain prominent.
The appearance is bright yellow. On the nose, floral aromas are accompanied by citrus and white-fruit notes. The palate is rounded and expressive, with a lively acidity that balances its generous texture. A refreshing citrus finish provides definition and length.
Château La Voulte-Gasparets Corbieres Blanc can be enjoyed with a range of dishes. Grilled sea bass, sea bream, scallops and Mediterranean seafood are particularly suitable choices. The wine can also accompany lemon-roasted chicken, vegetable dishes seasoned with herbs and semi-hard cheeses.
A serving temperature of approximately 10°C highlights its aromatic freshness while allowing the rounded palate to develop. The combination of Rolle, Grenache and Macabeu makes this wine a distinctive example of white winemaking in the Corbières appellation.
The estate's emphasis on manual harvesting, direct pressing and cool fermentation reflects an approach designed to preserve the natural qualities of the grapes. This Corbières Blanc therefore offers an expression of the Boutenac terroir through Mediterranean grape varieties and tank-based vinification.
