Description

All the expertise of Jean Pierre Boisson, producer of Châteauneuf du Pâpe with the Domaine du Père Caboche. This marvelous red wine Petit Caboche Red has a very fruity nose, a harmonious palate with a sensation of red fruit jam and spices. The blend of this little marvel is made up mainly of hybrid grape varieties, with 40% Caladoc (a hybrid of Grenache and Malbec), 30% Marselan (another hybrid of Cabernet Sauvignon and Grenache), 15% Egiodola (again a hybrid, but this time of Fer Servadou and Abouriou) and finally 15% Syrah. In the past, members of the Boisson family had two jobs at the same time: winemaker and blacksmith. The name of the estate comes from this second trade, as the nails used to fasten the shoes under the horses' hooves are called "caboche" in Provençal. At the time, this was the nickname given to the Boisson family.
