The 4th generation of Milhade officiates at the head of Château Recougne
Recougne is on the way to becoming almost a "Quality Label", a hyper qualitative reference in the world of superior bordeaux.
the vineyard of Château Recougne covers nearly 100 hectares on the edge of Fronsac and 5 km from Pomerol. The sloping terroir consists mainly of sandy clays laid on a substrate of iron filth.
The Recougne cuvées are mostly Merlot for around 75%, then Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Rarity to mention, a 100% Carmenère cuvée, a pre-phylloxeric Bordeaux grape that is found in chili. This grape gives this cuvée a deep color and spicy notes.
