Description
Domaine de La BUTTE BOURGUEIL Mi-Pente 2021. Great organic red wine from the Loire Valley from a magnificent estate brought to the pinnacle by the work of the late Jacky Blot.
Mi-Pente is a 5-hectare plot covered with 60-year-old Cabernet Franc. The yield is very low for less than 25 hectoliters per hectare. Aging takes place in barrels for 16 months.
The nose of this magnificent Bourgueil offers notes of liquorice, black pepper as well as a vegetal hint, one of the markers of Cabernet Franc.
The palate is powerful, fleshy and fruity.
The Domaine de la Butte is a 14-hectare vineyard in one piece on the slopes of Bourgueil, facing south and protected from frost due to its proximity to a forest. The difference in altitude in this area allows work in the cellar only by gravity.
