    The Arran distillery is the only distillery on the island of Arran, located in Lochranza. The creation dates from 1995 under the leadership of Harold Currie a former senior executive of Chivas and Pernod Ricard. The Arran distillery was authorized to name whiskey the fruit of its activity only in 1998. Due to lack of space, part of the production is stored and aged in the Springbank cellars. The style of Arrran whiskeys is unpeated, slightly influenced by the marine proximity with iodine and saline notes. The structure is supple and fruit notes appear.
