Description
Château BEYCHEVELLE 2020 Saint-Julien 4 em grand Cru Classé, this great Bordeaux wine takes its name from one of its owners, the Duke of Epernon who was an Admiral in the Royal Navy. The boats passing in front of the estate lowered their sails as a sign of greeting to the Admiral.
Beychevelle therefore comes from “Baisse Voiles”.
Today, Château Beychevelle vineyard covers 90 hectares. This 2020 vintage is composed of 51% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot and 4% Petit Verdot, aged in wood in 70% new wood.
The wine is aged in barrels, 70% of which are new.
