Bergerie de L'Hortus Rosé Languedoc Wine

Bergerie de l'Hortus rosé View larger

The dress of this pink wine Bergerie de l'Hortus is peony with pink reflections, intense aromas (raspberry & strawberry), also amyl and floral notes. A very nice attack on the palate with freshness and finesse, but also volume and sweetness. A long finish very rich in fruit but with spicy notes for this Hortus Estate wine. Grapes: Grenache 50%, Mourvèdre 30%, Syrah 15%, Cinsault 5% .. This wine is a blend of wines from the vines of Hortus among the latest and a wine carefully selected from one of our Pic Saint Loup colleagues from a very old cinsault vine. The Domaine de l'Hortus is located on the heights of the hinterland of Montpellier, in the Languedoc region, near Pic Saint Loup and Mont Hortus. The Domaine de l'Hortus is one of the emblematic areas of the appellation of Coteaux du Languedoc and it has made the reputation of Pic St Loup. The Orliac family dared a bet that many considered crazy in the early 90s, but this area of 50 hectares of northeast-facing limestone turns out to be a marvel.
