Haut Gléon Corbières Wine

A thing in common between Haut Gléon and Kway Which one?

The Haut Gléon estate owes its rise to the Duhamel family, a great name in textiles in the North who invented the famous K-way. In fact, it was in 1991 that the Duhamels acquired the upper part of the vineyards of the Gléon estate. This is how this new domain was named Haut Gléon. Léon Nicolas Duhamel made substantial investments in the cellars and the vineyard. The wise advice of the famous Sommelier Eric Dugardin is at the origin of this success in Corbières.

This wine illustrates well what a terroir wine is because the 40 hectares of vines are surrounded by 260 hectares of scrubland and thyme. It is astonishing to see to what extent these aromatic plants influence the nose of the production of the Haut Gléon estate.

Recently the Haut Gléon domain was sold to Foncailieu which brings a new commercial and logistical dynamic.

The Haut Gléon en Corbières vines are undergoing organic conversion.
