Description

Chateau Trotanoy 2017 Pomerol 75 cl. The 2010 vintage is an exceptional vintage. The wine is dazzling with an attractive sweetness and suppleness. Château Trotanoy (too anoi) too much trouble! Old Gascon expression which, given to this vine, underlines the difficulty of cultivating such a terroir. The proportion of clay makes the ground (especially in summer) hard as stone. On the 7.2 ha of vines (90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc), there is both gravel soil on clay and deep black clay on a layer of iron grime. But what a reward! These famous black swelling clays which, without the rain water stagnating, act like a sponge, restoring it slowly during periods of drought. It is they, among others, who bring the specificity of this wine, of intensity, richness, remarkable opulence with a very characteristic nose of truffles and endowed with great regularity.
