Villa N°16 Peated French Single Malt Whisky 70cl is a distinctive expression produced by Maison Peyrat in the Cognac region of France. Combining French barley, traditional oak maturation and an elegant peated character, this limited edition offers an original interpretation of French single malt whisky.

Maison Peyrat draws upon its longstanding experience in the production and maturation of French spirits. With the Villa N°16 range, the house explores the world of whisky while maintaining a strong connection to the traditions and landscapes of the Charentes.

The peated edition was produced in a limited release of 6,000 bottles, with bottling taking place in July 2023.

This whisky is made from French barley, selected and malted close to its growing regions in eastern France. The barley is subsequently brewed and distilled in the Charentes region.

The whisky undergoes four years of maturation in French and American oak casks. This ageing process contributes woody aromas, additional complexity and a rounded mouthfeel.

Unlike the classic Villa N°16 expression, which is known for its finishing in Cognac and Pineau des Charentes casks, this peated edition is distinguished by its smoky profile and oak maturation.
