A French single malt with hints of Cognac and Moscatel

Godet Frères La Sauzaie Finish Moscatel Cask has a pale gold colour with luminous highlights. The nose opens with aromas of ripe yellow fruits, apricot, fig, white flowers, honey, vanilla and gingerbread, accompanied by a delicate malty and slightly peaty note. The influence of Moscatel lends an elegant, wine-like character and a lovely richness.

On the palate, the attack is round, silky and perfectly balanced. Flavours of candied fruit, raisins, madeleine, light caramel and sweet spices develop harmoniously. Ageing in Cognac casks lends structure and finesse, whilst the finish in Moscatel casks offers a lovely, unpretentious fruity sweetness. The finish is long, elegant and lingering, characterised by notes of honey, dried fruit, gingerbread and delicately toasted oak.

Best enjoyed neat or with a few drops of water, this French single malt is the perfect accompaniment to foie gras, blue cheese, apricot tart, almond financier or dark chocolate.
