Discover Arlett Single Malt Tourbé, a French whisky produced by the Tessendier Distillery in Cognac. Made from malted barley and distilled using traditional Charente methods, it is matured for three years in bourbon casks, which allow the peaty aromas to fully develop. Description
The Tessendier Distillery brings its expertise in Cognac distillation to the Arlett range, dedicated to French whiskies. Arlett Peated stands out thanks to a maturation process designed to preserve the character of the peat: three years in bourbon casks allow the distillate to develop its aromas without being overpowered by new oak.
Its aromatic profile opens with a briny, smoky note of liquorice. On the palate, the peat comes through clearly, revealing ash-like nuances. Despite this intensity, the whisky retains a lightness that brings balance to the tasting experience. The long, smoky finish pleasantly prolongs the sensations.
At 43% ABV, this 70 cl single malt can be enjoyed neat to savour its smoky character, or on the rocks for a fresher experience. It is also well-suited to cocktails, where the notes of peat and liquorice can add depth. It pairs beautifully with roasted nuts, a mature cheese or a lightly smoked dish.
