Château La Garde Pessac Leognan 2007 White Bordeaux Wine by Vignobles Dourthe presents an original personality within the great Pessac-Léognan. It develops a beautiful aromatic expression of Sauvignon Blanc enriched by the breadth of Sémillon. The clear and brilliant color precedes a fresh nose, with notes of flowers and candied lemon. The mouth is still lively. The finish offers a nice minerality which expresses the purity of the Sauvignon. Fermentation and aging for 9 to 11 months in barrels, with a maximum of 15% new barrels to preserve the aromatic power. At Château La Garde, the barrels of white wines are installed on an “oxolyne” system, which allows batonnage by rotation of the barrels.
