The nose of Château Haut Marbuzet in Saint Estèphe is traditionally marked by ripe fruit, which is logical considering Henri Duboscq's choice of very ripe harvest. The palate is velvety, spicy and well structured. It is a wine that meets our storage constraints, it is easy to drink after a few years while being sufficiently robust. Château Haut Marbuzet operates 66 ha in Marbuzet, in the southern part of the village of Saint Estèphe not far from Château Cos d'Estournel and Château Montrose. The reputation and the quality of Haut-Marbuzet allowed this very beautiful Saint Estèphe to be classified Cru Bourgeois Exceptionel in 2003. 100% new wooden barrels for 18 months. The grape varieties are Cabernet Sauvignon for 50%, 40% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. The grapes are harvested by hand, deliberately very ripe, which marks the nose of the vintages. The estate produces a second Château Mc Carthy wine.
