Domaine Gayda Altre Camí Macabeu 2021: Catalan freshness and minerality

Discover Altre Camí Macabeu 2021, an organic cuvée from Domaine Gayda that showcases a Mediterranean grape variety grown in the Roussillon region. Classified as a Pays d’Oc PGI, this single-varietal white wine comes from Saint-Martin-de-Fenouillet, grown on granitic soils. Its nose combines white fruits, lemon and delicate notes of beeswax, with a subtle woody touch. On the palate, its roundness is balanced by a lively freshness and lingering salty notes. With an alcohol content of 12.5% vol., this dry white wine pairs well with oysters, grilled fish and mature cheeses.

Description

Altre Cami means Another Path. This is what the GAYDA estate is trying to do with this collection. He tries to highlight the high altitude terroir of Saint-Martin-de-Fenouillet but also the particularities of the Macabeu grape variety.

You will love this beautiful organic white wine with a pale yellow color, the nose offers notes of beeswax, citrus fruits including lemon and white-fleshed fruits. The slight passage in barrel gives roundness while allowing the freshness and minerality linked to the terroir to express themselves.
