Château Le Clos du Notaire is a fine red Bordeaux wine from the Côtes de Bourg AOC, produced from organically farmed vineyards. Its Bordeaux-style blend, dominated by Merlot and complemented by Cabernet varieties, produces a generous and well-balanced wine. The nose opens with black fruit, with smoky, spicy and slightly mentholated notes. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, supported by silky tannins and an elegant finish. A red Bordeaux with character, ideal with an entrecôte, duck breast, lamb or mature cheeses.

Description

Le Clos du Notaire Côtes de Bourg Bordeaux Red Wine. At the Clos du Notaire estate in Côtes de Bourg, the vineyard was created by the Romans, and overlooks the confluence of the Dordogne and Garonne. This remarkable site benefits from the microclimate due to the proximity of the estuary and the southern exposure of its hillside of gravel and limestone. Maitre COUTIN Notary to Jonzac gave the name of Clos du Notaire to this domain already renowned in the XIXth century. The 75% Merlot and the Cabernet allow to express this terroir in a wine of ample guard and with tannins.
