Pig's Nose Blend Scotch Whisky
Whiskies from the Pig's Nose brand have been distilled in Scotland since 1977, when the company was founded by MJ Dowdeswell & Co Ltd. The Pig's Nose range is distilled by Ian Macleod Distillers, which also owns the brand. These whiskies are primarily produced using grain whisky and single malt to create the blended whiskies. Once the whisky has been blended, it is matured in different casks depending on the desired finish, notably in rum casks for this ‘Caribbean Pig’ version.
Tasting notes for Pig’s Nose Rum Cask Finish Whisky
The Pig’s Nose ‘The Caribbean’ is a whisky aged in ex-rum casks, which imparts rich, fruity aromas such as banana, apricot and apple. On the palate, you’ll also find rich flavours with notes of vanilla, citrus, honey and caramel. The finish is slightly spicy with exotic aromas, a result of its unique ageing process. Enjoy tasting this Pig’s Nose blended Scotch whisky.
