Ardbeg Dolce embodies all the character of the great Islay single malts. It boasts a beautiful deep golden colour with amber highlights. The nose opens with an elegant peat smoke, accompanied by aromas of vanilla, buttered caramel, crème brûlée, dark chocolate, candied orange zest, dried fruit and sweet spices. As it breathes, notes of roasted coffee, leather and fine wood emerge.

On the palate, the attack is full-bodied and generous. Ardbeg’s characteristic smokiness is perfectly balanced with flavours of toffee, cocoa, candied fruit, honey and pastry. Spices, liquorice and a delicate saltiness evoke the sea mist of the Isle of Islay. The finish is exceptionally long, lingering, smoky and indulgent, leaving a sensation of dark chocolate, caramel and delicately peppery peat.

Best enjoyed neat or with a few drops of water to reveal its full complexity, this whisky is the perfect accompaniment to intense dark chocolate, a caramel dessert, a citrus tart or a full-bodied cigar.
