Lideyre Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux 2016, produced by Vignobles Bardet, is a generous red wine made from a blend of Merlot (70%), Cabernet Franc (20%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (10%). It displays aromas of ripe black fruits (blackberry, prune), sweet spices and vanilla wood. On the palate, it seduces with its silky tannins, notes of liquorice and cocoa, and a long, balanced finish. Round and structured, it is perfect with red meats and mature cheeses.

Lideyre Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux 2016: a blend of the three main Bordeaux grape varieties

This Lideyre Castillon 2016, produced by Vignobles Bardet, is a red wine made from a harmonious blend of:

70% Merlot: brings roundness, fruitiness (blackberry, plum) and suppleness.
20% Cabernet Franc: contributes to the aromatic finesse (violet flower, pepper) and structure.
10% Cabernet Sauvignon: reinforces the tannins and notes of blackcurrant and spices.

The 2016 vintage, marked by a sunny summer and cool nights, produced perfectly ripe grapes, resulting in a balanced and complex wine. The Castillon terroir, composed of clay-limestone soils, gives this wine a subtle minerality and good ageing potential.

On the palate, Lideyre reveals flavours of black fruits, liquorice and a hint of cocoa, with a long, velvety finish. Vignobles Bardet is committed to sustainable viticulture and favours traditional methods to preservethe authenticity of the terroir. Ageing in oak barrels (12 months) adds a touch of woodiness and extra roundness.
