Alain Brumont is a famous winegrower in south-west France who has revived the wines of Madiran and Pacherenc. Born in the Madiran region, Alain Brumont has been passionate about winegrowing ever since he was a child. In 1980, he took over the family business, in particular Château Bouscassé. Mr Brumont boldly changed the ancestral practices of the region, in particular by reducing yields to encourage the concentration of aromas in the grapes. Thanks to his work, Mr Brumont has succeeded in changing the image of Madiran wines, which are now highly reputed, unlike in the past.

The Torus Madiran from Château Bouscassé

Alain Brumont created this wine with the aim of highlighting the Madiran grape variety. This is Tannat, a grape variety with a lot of power and very intense tannins on the palate. The Torrus Madiran is very intense, with a dominant nose of black fruit, such as cherries, and spices. On the palate, the Madiran is powerful and structured, with black fruit and spices as on the nose. Alain Brumont's Torrus is best served with red meats, strong cheeses or game.
