The Domaine Marcel Deiss Grasberg 2019 is an exceptional Alsatian white wine, made from a blend of Alsatian grape varieties (Riesling, Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer, Sylvaner, Muscat). Cultivated biodynamically on granite soil, it offers a nose of Golden Delicious apple, citrus and acacia blossom. On the palate, its lively freshness and notes of pear and lemon zest make it an ideal accompaniment to sushi or scallops. Best served between 10 and 12°C.
Description
The Domaine Marcel Deiss Grasberg 2019 is an Alsatian white wine of rare complexity, produced by an estate that has been a pioneer in biodynamics since the 1980s. This wine is a blend of Alsatian grape varieties (Riesling, Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer, Sylvaner and Muscat), grown on the granite terroir of Grasberg, which gives it a vibrant minerality and aromatic depth. This unique terroir, combined with environmentally respectful viticulture, results in a wine of great purity and remarkable elegance.
On the nose, the 2019 Grasberg displays intense aromas of Golden Delicious apple, candied citrus, acacia blossom and honey.
On the palate, it impresses with its balanced structure, creamy texture and notes of Williams pear, lemon zest and flint, leading to a long, lingering finish.
This wine is perfect for accompanying delicate dishes such as salmon tartare, pan-fried scallops or a leek and goat’s cheese tart.
