Le Loup du Pic 2024 embodies the very essence of the Pic Saint-Loup appellation, renowned for producing some of the finest red wines in the Languedoc. Thanks to the dominant Mourvèdre, complemented by Syrah, this cuvée develops a distinct personality whilst retaining great freshness. Harvesting at peak ripeness, extended maceration and partial ageing in oak barrels result in a harmonious wine, where power is expressed without excess.

The bouquet reveals intense notes of ripe black fruits, cherry, blackcurrant, stewed strawberry and plum, complemented by hints of garrigue, liquorice, cocoa, pepper and delicately toasted oak. On the palate, it is dense, full-bodied and perfectly balanced. The well-integrated tannins lend a silky texture, whilst the characteristic freshness of the Pic Saint-Loup terroir adds length to the tasting experience. The finish is lingering, spicy and elegant.

This red wine is the ideal accompaniment to grilled meats, leg of lamb, slow-cooked dishes, cassoulet, game or a fine selection of mature cheeses. Accessible whilst young thanks to its vibrant fruit, it will age favourably for several years in the cellar.
