Ten Years of Maturation with a 21-Month Stout Finish

The whisky was distilled on 7 February 2013.

Its initial maturation took place in oak hogshead casks.

It was subsequently transferred into two casks previously used to mature Stout beer, where it spent an additional 21 months.

Stout is a beer style often associated with roasted malt, coffee and dark cereal flavours.

The extended finishing period contributes unusual roasted and malty notes to the whisky.

The result combines these influences with the natural fruitiness and waxy character of Teaninich.

Bottled in March 2023 at 50% alcohol by volume, this single malt was released without chill filtration or added colouring.

The total outturn was 482 bottles.

Tasting Notes: Rye Bread, Roasted Malt and Pine Resin

The nose opens with distinctive aromas of rye bread, fresh yeast and nutmeg.

Green kiwi, lemon peel and earthy woodland notes add complexity.

On the palate, the whisky is richer and more powerful than its nose initially suggests.

Buttered peaches combine with roasted malt, pine resin and freshly cut wood.
