Château Haut Piquat 2014 Lussac St Emilion Maison Rivière

This Haut Piquat Lussac Saint Emilion of the Maison Rivière is a wine of guard, its terroir made of limestone plateaux is ideal for Merlots. This wine has a beautiful intense red color, the nose is marked by red fruits and slightly spicy.The mouth confiorms the impressions revealed by the nose and extends on fine but present tannins. Château Haut-Piquat in Lussac Saint-Emilion was the first property acquired in 1972.Today, this castle has 22 hectares in one piece on excellent limestone plateaus and hills covered with sandy red clay formations. Reasoned Cultivation was introduced in 2001. During the first days of the fermentation, two to three daily pumping operations are carried out in order to extract the best tannins. A superb winery of four hundred and sixty barrels built in 1997 welcomes the wine to let it age 18 months in oak barrels.
