The Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Chenevottes 2023 perfectly reflects the pursuit of excellence by Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey, regarded as one of Burgundy’s masters of Chardonnay. Grown on a terroir renowned for producing wines that are both powerful and refined, this Premier Cru benefits from meticulous viticulture, low yields and ageing on lees, which lends depth and complexity without masking the purity of the fruit.
The bouquet is beautifully intense, with notes of apple, ripe pear, white peach, lemon, hawthorn blossom and stone fruit. Hints of hazelnut, fresh almond, flint and butter enrich a particularly elegant aromatic profile. On the palate, the wine impresses with its concentration, precision and balance.
