Founded in 1999 in Villeneuve-d’Ascq, Brasserie Moulin d’Ascq is recognised as one of the pioneers of organic craft beers in France. With its SAM range, it demonstrates that a non-alcoholic beer can retain its full aromatic richness. Unlike traditional methods of dealcoholisation, fermentation is naturally limited using a specific yeast strain, which helps to preserve the brew’s flavours. The Red Berries version is brewed with organic raspberry purée, which adds a lovely fruity intensity whilst maintaining a remarkable balance.

Its deep pink colour with ruby highlights immediately catches the eye. The nose opens with aromas of fresh raspberry, redcurrant, blackcurrant and wild strawberry, accompanied by subtle cereal notes. On the palate, the initial taste is smooth and rich, giving way to a pleasant freshness. The red fruit flavours are perfectly balanced by a slight acidity that lends the beer great vibrancy. The finish is refreshing, fruity and very long-lasting.

Served at between 5 and 7 °C, this organic non-alcoholic beer is the perfect accompaniment to red-fruit desserts, raspberry tarts, fruit salads, fresh cheeses or a summer aperitif. Its light, fruity profile also makes it an excellent alternative to sugary drinks for any social occasion.
