PYRITE Triple L’Or des Fous is a creation of Brasserie Lilloise, a craft brewery based in Roncq, in the Nord department. This top-fermented lager has an alcohol content of 8.5% ABV and comes in a generous 75 cl bottle. It forms part of the PYRITE range, inspired by the mining heritage of the Hauts-de-France region.
Its Triple style gives it a more pronounced character than a classic lager, with a personality well-suited to savouring. The PYRITE range is presented by Brasserie Lilloise as a collection of ‘finely crafted’ beers for connoisseurs of subtlety. The Triple variant thus embodies an approach that combines strength and finesse.
The name PYRITE refers to this golden mineral nicknamed ‘fool’s gold’. The collection also pays tribute to the region’s mining heritage and the ‘gueules noires’ (coal miners) of the Nord, giving this beer an identity deeply rooted in its local area.
Its 75 cl bottle is particularly well-suited to sharing. It pairs beautifully with a charcuterie platter, mature cheeses, grilled meats or hearty regional dishes. A fine choice for lovers of French triple beers.
Description
With PYRITE Triple, Brasserie Lilloise presents an 8.5% ABV lager that fits perfectly into the world of characterful triple beers. Bottled in 75 cl bottles, it is designed for convivial drinking and is an interesting choice for lovers of French craft beers.
PYRITE Triple has a golden hue, a characteristic highlighted in the range’s presentation. Its name is a direct reference to pyrite, the glittering mineral that gave rise to the expression ‘fool’s gold’. Beyond its original name, the PYRITE range claims a link to the heritage of the Hauts-de-France region, and in particular its mining history.
With an alcohol content of 8.5% vol., this lager is stronger than a traditional lager. It is therefore naturally at home during a tasting session where one takes the time to discover its various nuances.
As an aperitif, it pairs well with a selection of cold cuts and cheeses. With a meal, its character complements grilled meats, slow-cooked dishes, regional cuisine or slightly spicy dishes.
PYRITE Triple was also awarded a gold medal at the 2026 Concours Général Agricole, a distinction that highlights the quality of this creation from Brasserie Lilloise.
