Description
Ferroni Juillet, a collaboration between Persyn Houlle and Ferroni distilleries, is not a Gin but indeed a Genever. Who better to consult than the Persyn distillery, known for producing Houlle Genever, to create an excellent Genever that serves as the base for wonderful cocktails?
Houlle Genever, located in Pas-de-Calais, is a grain spirit flavored with juniper berries. It requires three cereals: barley malt, rye, and oats to produce this iconic spirit from Northern France, which is likely the origin of Gin.
This Juillet Nord brings together the typical aromas of both Northern and Southern France. It undergoes four distillations using a mash composed of barley, rye, and oats. The result is characterized by cereal notes, and the fourth distillation introduces a bouquet of aromatics, including hand-harvested juniper from Picardy and aromatic plants from Provence gathered in Aubagne, on the lands of the Château des Creissauds estate.
