Description
The old Matusalem Sublime rum evokes the migration of the Alvarez family from Cuba to the Dominican Republic during the Castro revolution. To create this incredible vintage, the Alvarez family carried out a rigorous selection from their oldest barrels to craft an exceptional blend of rum.
Each of the 450 decanters from the Vista Alegre glassmaker is numbered, and every piece comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by the founding family of Ron Matusalem.
This rum is a blend of rum aged for over 20 years in American oak bourbon barrels and another rum that spent ten years in a sherry oak cask.
Upon tasting, you will discover a remarkable rum with an amber color and old gold highlights. You will enter a world where balanced and precise notes of tobacco, dried fruits, mild spices, vanilla, orange, praline, coffee, and caramel are expressed. The overall experience is smooth and harmonious.
