Jameson Irish Whiskey a triple distilled whiskey with a smooth taste

John Jameson established his Dublin Distillery on Bow Street in 1780, which is now the Visitor's Center. From the outset, he bet on the production of quality Irish Whiskey by favoring the nobility of its grain supplies then by using triple distillation in a copper still to obtain a very smooth alcohol. Another secret of this indisputable quality comes from the mixture of malted and non-malted barley operated upstream. Finally John Jameson decides to let his production age in sherry casks while all of his competitors were selling a very young whiskey. So many fundamental decisions that ensured the success of Irish Whiskey Jameson.

Today, the Jameson whiskey brand is the iconic Irish Whiskey brand with 22 million bottles sold in 122 countries around the world.

Jameson is part of the Pernod Ricard group and the distillation has moved to the ultra modern Midleton distillery in Cork. This distillery also produces Green Spot, Paddy, Power's, Redbreast and Tullamore Dew brands using different processes. The Bushmill brand was sold in 2005 to the Diageo LVMH group.
