Saint-Joseph Rouge Les Anges 2023 by Louis Cheze – An Exceptional Syrah

Louis Cheze's Saint-Joseph Rouge Les Anges 2023 is a pure Syrah, produced from a granite terroir that is emblematic of the northern Rhône Valley. This wine is appreciated for its aromas of blackcurrant, prune and sweet spices, with power and complexity. It has an intense purple colour and an expressive nose reminiscent of ripe black fruits, violets and black pepper, but also with a marked minerality and finesse typical of Syrah wines from the northern Rhône Valley.

An ideal wine to accompany a rack of lamb with herbs, duck breast or a platter of mature cheeses (such as Saint-Marcellin or Picodon).

This 2023 vintage benefits from a perfect balance between fruit and spice. It can be enjoyed now for its brightness, or kept for 5 to 10 years to gain complexity. A Saint-Joseph that combines power and elegance.
