Baron des Galets Saint-Julien 2019: a Bordeaux blend

Produced in the Saint-Julien appellation, the Baron des Galets 2019 belongs to the family of Médoc red wines. Its blend comprises Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc, three grape varieties traditionally used in the production of Bordeaux red wines.

Cabernet Sauvignon is generally prized for the structure it brings to blends, whilst Merlot contributes to their suppleness. Cabernet Franc can round off the blend with its own distinctive characteristics. In the absence of precise proportions and confirmed tasting notes for this cuvée, it is best not to attribute a detailed aromatic profile to the wine.

Baron des Galets 2019: discovering the Saint-Julien appellation

Within the Bordeaux wine region, Saint-Julien is one of the Médoc appellations renowned for its blended red wines. The Baron des Galets 2019 is a wine from this region, made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc.
