Suntory Toki Blended Japanese Whisky 70cl is a contemporary interpretation of Japanese whisky, combining the expertise of the House of Suntory with a distinctive approach to blending.

The name Toki, meaning “time” in Japanese, reflects the connection between tradition and innovation that lies at the heart of this expression.

Suntory has played a pioneering role in Japanese whisky production since the establishment of the Yamazaki Distillery in 1923.

Over the decades, the company has developed a reputation for precision blending, creating whiskies characterised by harmony, elegance and aromatic complexity.

Toki brings together selected malt and grain whiskies from three of Suntory's iconic distilleries: Hakushu, Chita and Yamazaki.

Unlike more traditional blends, Toki gives particular importance to the freshness of Hakushu single malt and the rounded sweetness of Chita grain whisky.

Hakushu malt whisky matured in American white oak contributes bright green apple aromas, herbal freshness and a delicate character.

Chita heavy-type grain whisky provides smoothness, subtle sweetness and a silky texture, forming an essential part of the blend.

Selected Yamazaki malts add depth and complexity. American oak maturation contributes rounded fruity notes, while Spanish oak introduces delicate woody and spicy nuances.

This distinctive composition was developed under the direction of Shinji Fukuyo, Suntory's Chief Blender.

In the glass, Toki displays an attractive pale golden colour.

The nose opens with fresh aromas of basil, green apple and honey, creating an inviting and elegant first impression.

On the palate, the whisky is smooth and silky, revealing refreshing flavours of grapefruit, green grapes, peppermint and thyme.

The finish is delicate and balanced, with lingering notes of vanilla, white pepper and ginger.

Bottled at 43% alcohol by volume, Toki is a non-age-statement blended whisky designed to showcase harmony rather than a specific maturation period.

Its versatility makes it suitable for several styles of enjoyment.

Served neat, it reveals the subtle interaction between malt and grain whiskies.

Over ice, its refreshing citrus and herbal character becomes particularly appealing.

Toki is especially well suited to the Japanese Highball, a popular whisky cocktail combining Japanese whisky with chilled sparkling water and ice.

For a refreshing Highball, combine approximately 40ml of Suntory Toki with 120–160ml of chilled sparkling water in a tall glass filled with ice.

Its delicate character also pairs beautifully with Japanese cuisine, including sushi, sashimi, tempura and grilled fish.
