Description

Tasting Moon Harbour Blanc, a Bordeaux rum

This spirit was the very first rum to be entirely distilled in the city of Bordeaux. The nose is a blend of vanilla, exotic fruit and white peach. A minty freshness emanates from this well-balanced rum. To finish, Moon Harbour Rum is straightforward, and the vanilla and herbal notes make it an exquisite drink.

The Moon Harbour distillery in Bordeaux

Moon Harbour appeared in early 2014, they produce Bordeaux whisky. Yves Medina and Jean Philippe Ballanger have known each other for a long time, and decided to create their whisky. The raw material for this whisky is barley from St Jean d'Illac near Bordeaux, malted and then distilled in copper stills, all made in Bègles. The whisky is aged in Sauternes casks. A bunker built by the Germans during the Second World War is attached to the facilities, and is used as an ageing cellar for Moon Harbour whiskies.
