Description
Le Petit Mouton is born in a country of gravel and pebble hills (30 meters above sea level), situated between the Gironde estuary and the Atlantic Ocean (with a humid climate and temperatures), where grapes of high quality are obtained. The fruits arrive in the vat room from the young vines of the First Growth vineyard, where they are hand-harvested in small open baskets. There, they are selected and gently crushed, then they enter by gravity into oak wood tanks (from the finest French forests) and stainless steel tanks. Le Petit Mouton is fermented separately, according to the variety of each plot. Finally, after malolactic fermentation, it will be aged for 18 months in French oak barrels.
