The nose of Château Haut Marbuzet 2017 in Saint Estèphe is traditionally marked by ripe fruit, which is logical given the choice of Henri Duboscq to harvest very ripe. The palate is velvety, spicy and well structured. It is a wine that meets our storage constraints, it is easy to drink after a few years while being sufficiently robust.
Château Haut Marbuzet operates 66 ha in Marbuzet, in the southern part of the village of Saint Estèphe not far from Château Cos d'Estournel and Château Montrose. The reputation and quality of Haut-Marbuzet has allowed this very beautiful Saint Estèphe to be classified Cru Bourgeois Exceptional in 2003. 100% new wooden barrels for 18 months. The grape varieties are made from Cabernet Sauvignon for 50%, of Merlot for 40% and Cabernet Franc 10%. The grapes are hand-picked voluntarily very ripe which marks the nose of the vintages.
The estate produces a second Château Mc Carthy wine.
