Description

Maranges 1er Cru "La Fussière" Rouge 2022 is produced by Domaine Bertrand Bachelet in Burgundy's Côte de Beaune region. This wine is made from Pinot Noir grown on the "La Fussière" climat, the main climat in the Maranges appellation, spread over the communes of Cheilly and Dezize-les-Maranges. The vineyards face south/south-east, at an altitude of between 200 and 400 metres, on clay-limestone soils. After being harvested by hand, the grapes are vinified in the traditional way, with a three-week vatting period at a controlled temperature. The wine is matured in oak barrels for around 12 months, followed by a few months in stainless steel vats for harmonisation before bottling. This wine has a deep ruby colour, an expressive nose of red and black fruit, and a structured palate with peppery notes and good length.
