Hankey Bannister Original is a blended Scotch whisky steeped in historic Scottish tradition. The brand traces its origins back to 1757, when Beaumont Hankey and Hugh Bannister joined forces with a shared ambition: to create an elegant, balanced and accessible whisky. Even today, this philosophy is reflected in the Original Blend, available in a 70 cl bottle and with an alcohol content of 40% vol.

This whisky is a blend of malt whiskies from the Highlands and Speyside with grain whiskies from the Lowlands. This complementary combination brings together the aromatic richness of the malts and the smoothness of the grain whiskies. The distillery favours a non-peated profile, allowing the sweet, malty and spicy notes of its blend to come to the fore. The whiskies are matured in oak casks for at least three years, in accordance with Scotch whisky regulations.

On tasting, its golden colour is reminiscent of caramel. The nose is light, with a hint of spice that adds depth. On the palate, Hankey Bannister Original develops flavours of honey and caramel, underpinned by malty nuances and gentle spices. The overall impression remains smooth and harmonious, with a pleasant, lingering finish.

This Scotch whisky can be enjoyed neat, to fully appreciate its balance, or with a few drops of water to open up its aromas. Served on the rocks, it offers a fresher drinking experience. It is also well-suited to making a whisky highball, mixed with sparkling water and perhaps a twist of citrus.
