Domaine de Baccari Première de Baccari 2021: a fine dining red

The Première de Baccari 2021 showcases the expertise of Domaine de Baccari and the ever-improving quality of Morocco’s fine wines. Situated at an altitude of 650 metres in the Meknès region, the vineyard benefits from a sunny climate tempered by the altitude and limestone soils that bring out the best in Cabernet Franc. Under the technical direction of Stéphane Derenoncourt, each plot is vinified separately to preserve the full character of the terroir.

This cuvée develops intense aromas of ripe black fruits, violet, liquorice, pepper, paprika and fresh mint. On the palate, it combines power, finesse and balance thanks to a velvety tannic structure and remarkable freshness. The lingering, mineral finish elegantly carries through the spicy and fruity notes.

This red wine is the perfect accompaniment to grilled red meats, slow-cooked dishes, lamb tagines, roast duck, wild mushrooms or full-flavoured cheeses. Its ageing potential means it will develop favourably for around ten years in the cellar.
